10. Big Ben

If we were writing about world’s greatest attractions, it would surely mention one of the most popular in the UK, the Big Ben. Big Ben is actually the name of the great bell located within the big clock in the northern part of the Palace of Westminster in London.

It is the largest clock that rings and the third highest free tower in the world. Big Ben is under the protection of UNESCO as part of the equally famous Westminster Palace. Although it is one of the most famous tourist attractions, the inside of the tower is not open to anyone outside of UK. It should be noted that the tower has no elevator so you need to go up the 334 limestone stairs by foot.
