4. Marrakesh

By Moroccan standards, Marrakech has a reputation for its nightlife and generally good fun, from modern discos to belly dance. The medina offers traditional entertainment in cafes, food stalls and street entertainment, it’s safe to say that it has something for everybody.

Some hotels in the market have rooftop cafés overlooking the square, while numerous Riyadh (the former merchants’ houses) were renovated into restaurants that offer a typical traditional experience of Morocco: abundant feast, dance and music. Although Morocco is an Islamic country, Moroccans are tolerant compared to some of the other countries which prohibit some of the things we’re used to, and bars for tourists stay open late. Keep in mind that most of domestic stuff, that’s produced there is quite cheap while imported goods can be expensive.
