You will agree that people and culture are the heart of every place. Experience wouldn’t be complete if you don’t explore all of their tradition. The locals in Bora Bora are considered to be the friendliest and most relaxed people in the world. In fact “aita pea pea” or “no worries” is their moto.
Although French and Tahitian are the native languages, most locals are speaking English so the communication shouldn’t be a problem. Dance used to be a way to celebrate, seduce a partner, to please the gods. Some of the reasons for dancing are lost in time but still everything they do, they do though dance, so feel free to join them or enjoy their traditional dance performances. Many don’t know that the method of marking the skin with an ink-dipped stick originates from Polynesian culture. If you love tattoos and have high pain tolerance you could tattoo a piece of art that will always remind you of this place.
