The Foreign Office advised against all but essential travel to the entire country at the start of August, citing “ongoing unrest and instability”. It also urged anyone in the country to consider leaving and warned that the British embassy may be limited in its ability to provide assistance.

What are we missing? If the 1,200 miles of gleaming white powder Caribbean coastline wasn’t enough of a lure, then the awe inspiring Angel Falls would certainly be worth a visit if it were safer to do so.
