The Island Hideout – Koh Yao Noi, Thailand
The Island Hideout is a small collection of eco-lodges, traditionally built in the Thai style utilising local materials and natural palm leaf roofs. They are luxuriously finished and all have sweeping views across the lush jungle and Phang Nga Bay beyond. Each lodge has a king-sized bed with drapes, an open-air bathroom and cushioned sun loungers looking out over the panoramic views. The ethos here is to really switch off and for this reason the lodges are without modern conveniences like electricity, TV or WiFi – yet sometimes you have to unplug to connect.
Outside the lodges you’ll find an irresistible infinity pool with views over the jungle. Nearby is an idyllic farm-to-table restaurant that serves delicious traditionally cooked Thai cuisine by candlelight.
